Jane Ann Clark

Jane Clark, 59, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at UnityPoint under Cedar Valley Hospice care. She was born December 30, 1963, in Decatur, Il, daughter of James and Lila (Beals) Mitchell. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1982 and attended college in different parts of the country.

On July 3, 1983, Jane married Jeffrey Clark at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Washburn. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2017.

Jane worked as a mortgage loan processor with Veridian Credit Union for over twenty-two years, retiring in August of 2019. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Beyond Pink, and the Corvette Club. She enjoyed retired life, traveling, baking, and playing cards with the girls. Above all, she enjoyed being with her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Jay) Herrera of Midland, Tx; her grandsons: Joseph “JC” Herrera III and Garrett Herrera; and her brother John (Carolyn) Mitchell of Freeport, Il. She was preceded by her parents, and husband, Jeff.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 4-7:00 PM at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave Waterloo, the funeral will be Friday, November 17 at 1:30 PM also at Locke at Tower Park, with burial after in Memorial Park Cemetery. Family requests no flowers or plants, in lieu memorials may be directed to the family.
