James “Jim” R. Haight, 59, of Rossville, Kansas, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Rossville Healthcare & Rehab Center, after a long illness.

Jim was born April 26, 1960, in Waterloo, the son of Robert E. and Jean E. Whipple Haight. He graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1978 and later graduated from DeVry University with a degree in Electronics Engineering. He spent much of his adult life living in Kansas.

Jim enjoyed golf, his Shetland Sheepdogs, working on cars and computers.

He worked for an internet technology company in Kansas.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Haight.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Whipple Haight of Granbury, Texas; a brother, Ronald (Andrea Hoff) Haight of Pflugerville, Texas and two nephews, Sean and Neil; and a sister, Laurie (Barry) Simpter. Jim left behind his faithful Shetland Sheepdog, Buddy, who now lives with Ron and family.
