Jacklyn “Jackie” Kay Brollier, 78, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit. She was born on February 21, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Kenny and Sylvia Osgood.
Jackie grew up in Waterloo and attended West High School, where she met the love of her life, Clark Brollier. The two were married on April 26, 1968, beginning a beautiful partnership filled with adventure, friendship, and devotion.
Jackie attended Pitze’s Beauty School and spent 20+ years working at Pitze’s. She later dedicated 20 years to Friendship Village as a housekeeper, where her kindness and meticulous care touched everyone, she encountered.
Jackie had a deep love for nature and animals, and her heart truly belonged to Lake Delhi. From March through October, nearly every weekend of her life was spent at the lake, and after retirement, she spent entire summers there. Power walking was her daily ritual-never, missing her four-mile walk, not even the legendary hill at Turtle Creek, which she conquered well into her seventies. She adored dogs, marveled at snakes, and never missed a chance to excitedly announce the sight of an eagle overhead.
Kind, nurturing, and endlessly energetic, Jackie always put her family first. She never missed a boat ride, waited patiently for the water to warm each summer, and always took a ski run-water skiing until the age of 72. She loved bowling with her lifelong friends from Waterloo, cherished monthly breakfasts with her Pitze’s friends, and stayed closely connected with those she loved.
Jackie found joy in planting flowers, keeping everything immaculate, and staying constantly on the move. There was never a stick left in the yard or on her beach. She shared decades of friendship with the Hartwick Husky’s, never missing a water ski show, and faithfully supported Clark with the Wapsie Wrangler’s, helping wherever she could at their annual horse shows. In winter, she loved snowmobiling-Clark often told the story of her speeding across the frozen lake, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Their love was so strong that he even let her trade his motorcycle for a jet ski. Together, they created countless memories playing cards with friends and enjoying life to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenny, and Sylvia Osgood; and step-grandson, Stashaun Brown.
Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Clark Brollier; daughters, Heather (Stan) Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, and Michelle (Jon) Pilcher of Ankeny, Iowa; brother, Bob Osgood; brother in- law, Dudley Brollier; five loving grandchildren, Bryton, Kiara, Grayden, Maya, and Brock; step-grandchildren, Stanley and Tiana; seven great-grandchildren; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Teri, Ted, Andrew, Nicole, Morgan, and Reagan.
Jackie’s life was defined by love, loyalty, and joy. She was a woman who never stopped moving, never stopped caring, and never stopped celebrating the beauty of life. Her laughter, strength, and generous heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
