Helen I. Schultz, 89, of Waterloo, Iowa, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Waterloo.

Helen was born November 21, 1918, in Waterloo, the daughter of Robert E. and Sarah J. Roberts Frazer.

Helen graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1937 and married Richard O. “Dick” Schultz on November 25, 1937, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Over the Thanksgiving holiday they joyfully celebrated their 70th anniversary in Waterloo with their entire family.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Ruth Morris of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Richard E. Schultz and his wife Gayle of Rocklin, California, and John Schultz and his wife Kathy of Altamonte Springs, Florida; ten grandchildren: Eddie Morris, Russell Morris, Collette Kaster, Stephanie Schultz, Heather Schultz, Christopher Schultz, Gregory Halldorson, Glenn Halldorson, Angela Zeman, and Karla Kail, and nine great grandchildren.

Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was steadfast in her Christian faith. She led a life of service to her Lord by volunteering at numerous organizations to include Grace Lutheran Church, where they have been members since 1949, and the gift shop at Allen Hospital for many years.
