Harold E. Arnold, 79, of Westbrook Acres, Gladbrook, formerly of Waterloo died at Westbrook Acres on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

He was born January 7, 1934 in Toledo, Iowa, the son of Edward and Helen Chancy Arnold. Harold was a Clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad from 1960 until 1983, then worked as a security guard for Hawkeye Community College until 1994.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Harold is survived by his daughter Michelle Tucker of Waterloo; son Craig (Robin) Arnold of Cedar Falls; son Rodney (Robin) Toppin of Surprise, Arizona; nine grandchildren: Jennifer & Joe Tucker, Adam & Jessica Arnold, Brandon & Ashley Toppin, Candice Butler, and Katie & Curtis Land; five great grandchildren: Haley, Riley & Joey, and Chloe & Madison; sister Shirley Miller of Burlington, Iowa; and brother Don Arnold of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by brothers Ray, Dale and Charles in infancy and sisters Wanda and Alene.
