Gladys I. Holschlag, 77, of 914 Oregon St., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at Allen Hospital of a heart attack.

She was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Fredericksburg, daughter of William and Hazel Dawson Lienau. She married Henry Holschlag on July 28, 1942, in New Hampton.

Mrs. Holschlag was a secretary at Woodlawn Convalescent Home and later at Stanley Home Products, retiring in 1983.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Mark of Waterloo and William of La Porte City; a daughter, Jean Hein of Waterloo; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Steggall of Fairbank and Bonnie Lee Sabula.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Arley, Donald and Raymond Lienau; and two sisters, Dorlena and Helen Lienau.
