Georgeanna Van Doren, 90, of Ridgeway Place, died there Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006.

She was born May 23, 1915, in Waterloo, daughter of Fred L. and Josephine Lichty Northey. She married Arthur Van Doren Oct. 15, 1954, in Waterloo. He died May 8, 1996.

Mrs. Van Doren attended Iowa State Teachers College, now the University of Northern Iowa, and owned and operated Van Doren’s Custom Picture Framing for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She had been a member of Trinity Episcopal Parish since 1935 and was a member of Chapter Z, PEO.

Survived by a son, Jan (Sue) of Omaha, Neb.; two grandsons, Eric and Andrew Van Doren; and a special friend, Bea Schnell.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Northey and James Northey.
