Fiona Lentz

Fiona M. Lentz, 74, of Waterloo, Ia passed away on July 1st, 2026 while in the care of Pinnacle Specialty Care of Cedar Falls.

Born in Glasgow, Scottland where she spent her formative years. She was the daughter of Anne Sneddon.

Fiona spent her formative years attending school in Scottland until she moved to the states where she attended cosmetology school at Young Cosmetology, graduating in 1986 where she later became an instructor. Fiona then started her own business as a cosmetologist called, Hair on Wheels, which she was very proud of. After years of being a cosmetologist she went on to get her Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Med Aide certifications. She then later spent many years at EPI and working at the bus barn for Waterloo School Districts. Fiona loved being around the kids and would have many stories to tell. Probably her proudest moment was on August 17th, 2018 when she gained her United States of America Citizenship.

In 1976, Fiona married Joey Lentz Sr. while he was over seas in the Navy. In 1977 they welcomed their only son, Joey Lentz, Jr. Spending their early years of marriage in Scottland, then moving back to the states after Joey was done serving his time in the Navy, they later divorced.

Fiona enjoyed spending time with her friends, family and especially time with her grandchildren. Fiona enjoyed staying up late with her grandchildren playing card games and board games. She was always willing to learn something new to be able to hangout with her grandchildren. Fiona was especially excited when she heard the news that she was going to be a great-grandmother later this year. You could always count on her for a good laugh, her quick-witted comebacks and her to always try something new even if she knew she shouldn’t.

She is survived by her son, Joey (Tiffany) Lentz, Jr, grandchildren Madison Lentz, Logan Schmidt, Rilea Schmidt, Jordan Lentz, Peyton White, Tucker Schmidt, River Lentz and Kasen Lentz.
