Evelyn E. Johnson, 97, of 1547 Forest Ave. in Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. She was born June 29, 1909, the daughter of Arthur and Maude (Lavely) Enfield.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1929.

Evelyn Enfield married Charles A. Johnson; he died in 1964.

She is survived by son Arthur Johnson of Waterloo, three nieces: Sandra Spooner, Sally Geweke, and Deborah of California, and several great nieces and nephews.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Donald Enfield, and two sisters: Irene Hansen and Stella Hall.
