Elniece M. Pullin, 58, of Jesup, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Allen Memorial Hospital from cancer. She was born November 4, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Mildred Twaites Standridge. She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1970.

Elniece married John Pullin April 7, 1973 at Hudson United Methodist Church. She worked as a nurse’s aid at Parkview Nursing and Rehab and Country View Care Center in Waterloo before retiring in 1998.

Elniece was very creative taking pleasure in quilting and doing crafts; She was an outdoors person and very active enjoying gardening, roller skating, league bowling, playing softball, boating and waterskiing. She loved attending car shows and going racing; winning two trophies of her own in drag racing.

She had fun gambling and was lucky with lottery tickets.

Elniece is survived by her husband John of Jesup a son Russell and his wife Leah of Evansdale a granddaughter Angelle and another grandson due in February. She is also survived by her mother Mildred Standridge; sisters: Diane (Marvin) Schellhorn of Waterloo, Mary Lou Nirk of Evansdale, and Wanda Standridge of Jesup; a brother Paul Standridge of Evansdale; a half sister Teressa (Tim) Weeter of Waterloo; a half-brother: Terry (Debbie) Hansen of Waterloo; sisters in law: Nancy (Steve) Risse of Dysart, Jo Anne (Dale) Wooden of Hudson, Judy Smelser of Billings, Montana; a brother in law Jack (Gloria) Pullin of Jesup and several nieces and nephews. Elniece is preceded in death by her father and brothers Gerald and Earl.
