Ellamae Stattelman, age 74, of Washburn, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at NorthCrest Specialty Care in Waterloo.

Ellamae was born on March 19, 1943, at the old St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo, the daughter of Myron and Katherine "Kay" (Freerksen) Huppert. Ellamae graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1962. She was united in marriage with Earl Stattelman on October 14, 1961 in Preston, MN.

Ellamae owned and operated El's Upholstery for over 30 years, retiring in 2006. She sewed all her own clothing and her daughter's clothing. Ellamae enjoyed flower gardening, watching hummingbirds and for several years she raised mallard ducks for the family pond. Ellamae loved being a homemaker and treasured time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Earl of Washburn; a daughter, Terry (Duane) Wooden of Hudson, IA; two sons, Patrick Stattelman of Washburn, IA and Allan (Bonnie) Stattelman of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Bradley Wooden of Hudson and Stephanie (Jared) Hoppe of Washburn; three great grandchildren, Eli Freeman, Ava and Dallas Hoppe.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Avenue in Waterloo with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6 and an hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the Chapel.
