Doris Brewster, 75, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center Waterloo. She was born November 27, 1946, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Obadiah and Willie Mae Smith Coleman.

She married Thomas Jones, Sr., they were later divorced. She married Nolan Brewster on June 18, 1977, in Chicago.

Doris owned and operated Sirod Catering over 30 years, retiring in 2008.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking for her family, hosting events at her home, and decorating.

Survived by: her husband, Nolan Brewster of Waterloo; two sons, Thomas R. Jones, Jr. of Chicago, Nolan Brewster of Waterloo; two daughters, Shanna Easley of Waterloo, Jennifer (Christopher) Hodo of Queen Creek, AZ; a son-in-law, Jonathan Cox of Waterloo; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Williams of Chicago; a sister, Francis Clark of Chicago; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter Antonett "Toni" M. Cox and brothers and sisters.

We know we are being selfish for wanting you to remain here with us, and even though we prayed a river of tears Jesus had a different plan for you he decided to take you home where there is no sickness, no worry, no pain. The sun is always shinning, this place you live again. So rest well my sister and remember our love ls like the sun very warm and everlasting. I will miss you and love you always
