Donna Geraldine Wilson, age 82, of Waterloo, died Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home.

She was born May 15, 1932 in Waterloo, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Pierce) Marvets. Donna was united in marriage with Gerald D. Wilson, Sr. on September 18, 1949 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1987.

Survivors include 5 daughters, Geraldine (Richard) Jones of Cedar Falls, Dixie (Thomas) Peverill of San Benito, TX, Marjorie (Pete) Shadow of Waterloo, Nancy Walbaum of Plainfield, IA and Donna Crandell of Des Moines, IA; 2 sons, Gerald Wilson Jr. of Waterloo and Grant Wilson of Thompson, IA; 24 grandchildren including two who were Donna’s caregivers, Nancy (Scott) Hoffman and Marjorie Russell; 71 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Peggy) Marvets of Tripoli, IA. and a sister-in-law, Audrianna Marvets of Georgia.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert Allen Wilson; 2 great grandsons; 4 brothers, Virgil, Wayne, Barney and Walter Marvets; 3 sisters, Ruth Snyder, Phyllis Ohrt and Florence Murray.
