Dolores Marie Morrison

Dolores ‘Dee’ Morrison, 93, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 13, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital. She was born April 20, 1933, in Conrad, daughter of Mauritz and Blanche (Miller) Christensen. She married William ‘Bill’ Morrison, they later divorced.

She retired from UNI as a custodian and had previously worked factory piece work at both Chamberlain and John Deere. Dee was first and foremost a clean and orderly person. She enjoyed gardening and yard work, shopping, vacations, crocheting and knitting. Regular poker games were played with her brothers and sisters well into old age.

Dee is survived by her daughters Theresa Brown and Melody Collins both of Waterloo; stepdaughter Patti Miller; grandchildren: Josh Collins of Waterloo, Jeremie Collins of Des Moines, Jordan Brown of Denver, Co, Bobbie Lee of Waterloo, Bruce Fuller, and Loni and Sam Collins both of Colorado Springs, Co. She was preceded in death by her son Ray Collins, 10 siblings: Kay Ham, Maurice Christensen, Virginia Wahl, Harold Christensen, Gladys Hirsh, Patricia Landt, Gerda Hirsh, James Christensen, Don Christensen, and Donna Christensen; and grandsons Brice and Brad Collins.

Memorial service 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
