Dolene Louise Reichenbacker

Dolene "Doe" Reichenbacker, 65 of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her home. She was born April 17, 1957, in Waterloo, IA, daughter of John and Laura Myrtle Elizabeth Bergmeier Brackin. She graduated from East High School in 1975.

In Dolene's words:

"I was the proud Mother of two beautiful children, Jaime (Jon) Burleson and Jeremy (Michelle) Jones, both of Cedar Falls.

I was blessed to have a second chance at Love when I married the love of my life, Bob (Robert) Reichenbacker who made me believe in forever. I was blessed with two stepsons, Cory (Ashley Vaala) Reichenbacker and Chris Reichenbacker, both of Waterloo, as well as 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jake, Max, Ben and Addie Burleson; Blake, Alex, and Emmy Jones; Brittany Pohren, Pausha and Liv Reichenbacker; Jordan Carey, Chandylynne and Lexy Reichenbacker and Katie Corson. Great-grandchildren, Tai and Arie.

My life was blessed with family, siblings, in laws and many great friends and neighbors. I lived my life to the fullest, enjoying family suppers, watching my grandkids activities, attending Friday-Loos and just being all around, so very blessed.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Reichenbacker, Waterloo; daughter, Jaime (Jon) Burleson, Cedar Falls; sons, Jeremy (Michelle) Jones, Cedar Falls, Cory (Ashley Vaala) Reichenbacker, Waterloo, and Chris Reichenbacker, Waterloo; mother, Myrtle Brackin, Waterloo; brothers, John (Kathryn) Brackin, Waterloo, and Dennis (Brenda) Brackin, Lamoni; and sisters, Sandy (Greg) Huff, Hot Springs AR., and Becky Brackin, Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Brackin; brother, Gerry (Shari) Brackin; parents-in-law, Hank and Betty Reichenbacker; and father-in-law, Earl Jones.
