Delbert Ray Shelton

Delbert R. Shelton, 63, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Pinnacle Specialty Care. He was born March 4, 1963, in La Porte City, son of Louie H. and Audrey E. (Wagmer) Shelton. Delbert completed his high school education in 1981. He worked for Goodwill Industries of NE Iowa for several years.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Merlyn (Janelle) Shelton of Richland, MO, Deloris Trusley of Brumley, MO, Garith Shelton of Mt. Vernon, MO, Gail (Robert) Noltensmeier of Waterloo, Dwight (Peggy) Shelton of Brownsville, TX, and Janet (Bobby Sexton) Shelton of Waterloo; nieces, Annette (Dan Kimball) Noltensmeier, Jill (James) Dean, Renee Shelton, and Korene Shelton; nephew, Nathaniel Shelton; and special friend, Debbie Bakke.

Delbert is preceded in death by his brother, Duane Shelton; his parents; and sister-in-law, Sharon Shelton.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, March 30, 2026, at Locke at Tower Park.

Burial will be in the West View Cemetery, La Porte City, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at Locke at Tower Park.
