Dawn Marie McEwen

Dawn M. McEwen, 45, of Waterloo, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, August 2, 2024.

She was born August 23, 1978 in Waterloo, daughter of Greg and Donna (Wallbaum) McEwen. Dawn graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1997.

Dawn worked in the cafeteria at the University of Northern Iowa for several years. She also worked at Sam's Club for a few years, as well as various other jobs.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Dawn is survived by two uncles, Dave Wallbaum of Waterloo, and Gary (Linda) McEwen of Eldora; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Scott McEwen.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Locke on 4th, 1519 West 4th Street, Waterloo. A private family inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
