Clyde E. North, 87, of Waterloo, IA, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Ravenwood Specialty Care at Waterloo.

Clyde was born on October 5, 1937, in Waterloo, to Kenneth and Genevieve Elizabeth (Holly) North. He married Kathie Ray Lange on August 16, 1991, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He attended the University of Wisconsin. Clyde worked at Waterloo Wood Bearing, Shield Bantam, Saturn Tool Company, Berry Tool and Die and Progressive Tool and Die from until his retirement in 1998.

Clyde served in the United States Navy from 1955-1958.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Evansdale Amvets Post #31, and the Local 1740 UAW.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Kathie of Waterloo; daughter, Robyn (Roger) Sorge of Janesville; son, Jeffrey North of Waterloo; daughter, Penny Hershey of Cedar Falls; daughter, Virginia Johnson of Cedar Falls; stepson Todd Pelton of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Marci Pelton of Waterloo; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Russell North of Grundy Center; and sister, Mary Meyer of Dubuque.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Darrell Pelton.
