Christine Ann Beenken

Christine Beenken, 45, of Waterloo, passed away unexpectedly at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center on Monday, October 21, 2024, from the result of an accident.

Christine was born February 9, 1979, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Richard "Buddy" and Charlotte (Antell) Beenken. She graduated from River Hills School in 1997.

She loved being around people and was always happy. She also loved music, songs, and singing in her own special way. In her free time, she was known to read magazines, snack on Goldfish, or snuggling her stuffed animals. She also enjoyed watching Barney and Looney Tunes on TV – Bugs Bunny was her favorite.

Christine is survived by her mother, Charlotte Beenken of Waterloo; two sisters, Connie (Scott) Petersen, and Tammy (Charlie) Miracle, both of Waterloo; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard "Buddy" Beenken, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Salvation Army Citadel with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo.
