Charlotte L. Tournier, 84, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, February 29, 2016 at her daughter’s home of natural causes.

She was born May 31, 1931 in Arlington, Iowa, the daughter of Glen V. and Hattie E. (Welsh) Harriman.

She married Howard S. Tournier on January 9, 1947 in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on July 21, 1991.

She was a homemaker. Charlotte enjoyed family, friends, laughter and “Willie.”

Charlotte is survived by: two sons, Richard (Karla) of Green Top, MO, Daniel of Waterloo; four daughters, Juanita (Joe) Smith of Denver, IA, Linda Long of Waterloo; Kathy Long of Waterloo, Jacqueline(Charles) Hilton of Brandon; sixteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Isabelle Ames of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, David Tournier; three brothers: Dale, Charles and Glen Harriman; and three sisters, Betty Card, Anna Mae Graves and Thelma Lauer.
