C. David Boswell, 72, of Cedar Falls, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Thursday, July 3, 2008, of cancer.

He was born August 22, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Charles and Helen Tolson Boswell.

Dave married Janice Hagy and they were later divorced; he married Deborah Wood on September 3, 1983, in Waterloo.

Dave graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis and then attended Butler University.

He was president and owner of Nelson & Hagy Inc. in Waterloo until his retirement in 1998.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling at Maple Lanes, and going to the casinos. He served on the board of directors for the UNI Athletic Club and was a member of the Shrine, Masonic Lodge, and Elks.

Dave is survived by his wife Deborah Boswell of Cedar Falls, daughter Karin Drucker and her husband Mark of Carlsbad, California, grandson Nicholas Boswell of Waterloo, granddaughters: Whitney and Olivia Drucker, and sister Sharolyn Webster of Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Timothy A. Boswell, and grandson Brody Drucker.
