Carole Marie Rubendall

Carole M. Rubendall, 85, of Waterloo, died Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born on August 19, 1935 in Waterloo, the daughter of Earl W. and Elizabeth (Grupp) Mason. Carole graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1954.

She married James E. Rubendall May 5, 1956 in Waterloo. She worked at Danish Mutual Insurance in Cedar Falls for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Carole was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Waterloo and enjoyed camping, watching ball games, bowling, and playing cards.

Survivors include: husband, James; daughter, Debra (Roger) Henderson of Waterloo; sister Betty Main of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Lisa (Shawn) McBride of Waterloo, Laura (Josh) Mulnix of Dyersville, and David Anderson of Florida; five great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded by: her parents; twin children, Martin and Kay Rubendall; sister, Mary K. Wallace; brothers, Raymond and Thomas Mason.
