Carol M. Pesch, 75, of Waterloo, died at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City on Wednesday, February 14, 2007.

She was born on December 3, 1931 in Austin, Minnesota, daughter of Carl O. and Minda Larson Strom.

She married Carl H. Pesch on December 27, 1953 in LeRoy, Minnesota. He died July 21, 1971.

Carol graduated from LeRoy High School, attended St. Olaf College and received her RN degree from the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota.

She worked at Covenant Medical Center for many years. Carol was an active member in the Ruth Circle at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, sewing and cross-stitching, along with being an avid reader.

Carol is survived by daughter Janet Wrassmann and her husband David of Dunedin, Florida; daughter Linda Hurn and her husband Mike of Elburn, Illinois; and son David Pesch and his wife Consolacion of Santa Maria, California; four grandchildren: Carla Harvey and her husband Ryan, Andrea Wrassmann, Alan Wrassmann, and Courtney Nemmers; three step-grandchildren: Matt Hurn and his wife Anastasia, Andrea Woodley and her husband Brian, and Lissa Weldon and her husband Scott; sister Jean Stroud of Eureka, California; two nephews: Chris Stroud and Eric Stroud; and niece Jill Petricca.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
