Carol J. Stahl, 74, of Waterloo, formerly of Ocheydan, IA, died at ManorCare Health Services on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Carol was born on August 1, 1941 in Sibley, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Ivadelle Ver Steeg Buysman.

She graduated from Ocheydan High School in 1958.

Carol married Bill Bargman and they later divorced. She married Ronald F. Stahl on July 7, 1990 in Spirit Lake, IA. He died September 3, 2008.

She was a homemaker as well as a paraeducator in Spencer, IA and at Waterloo Schools.

Carol was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Gates Park Neighborhood Association, and the N.E. Iowa Motorcycle Club; she volunteered at Roosevelt School, Main St. Waterloo and numerous other organizations in the Cedar Valley.

Survived by her children, Craig (Jess) Bargman of Waterloo; Carrie (Russ) Mulert of Lexington, KY, Chris (Tim) Nieman of Waterloo, Chantel (Reinhard) Boeschen of Waterloo, and Stacey (Eric) Millar of Washburn, and Mike Stahl of Waterloo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Jalene) Buysman of Dalhart, TX; her sisters, Lavonne (Michael) Bird of Westminster, CO and Charlene (Todd) Swanson of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous friends that she called family.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Brandon Nieman.
