Brenda Lee Polson

Brenda L. Polson, 65, of Cedar Falls, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, under UnityPoint Hospice Care at her home in Cedar Falls.

Brenda was born on May 17, 1960, in Waterloo, daughter of Virgil D. and Shirley Anne S. Lewis. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1978. Brenda married Thomas Polson on September 9, 2009, in Las Vegas, NV. Brenda worked for her family’s business, Stoner’s Radiator Service, as their Office Manager for 44 years.

Brenda was a very caring, loving, and thoughtful person who had a great sense of humor. She was a “glam-ma” to her grandchildren. Brenda enjoyed spending her time doing crafts and being creative.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Tom of Cedar Falls; stepchildren, Daniel (Karisa) Polson of Medina, MN, and Shannon (Dane Morris) Polson of Duluth, MN; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Makenna Polson; siblings, Teri Gerken of Cedar Falls, Angie (Tom) Smith of Waterloo, Duane (Darcy) Lewis of Waterloo, and John (Melissa) Lewis of Delhi; special uncle, Dick Lewis of Waterloo; and step-father, Gary (Sharon) Meyeraan of Grundy Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Tanner; brothers-in-law, Michael Tanner and Dave Gerken; and aunt, Harriet Lewis.

Funeral Services: 10:00 am, Monday, June 9, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, and for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
