Beverly A Ridder

November 21, 1928 February 15, 2025

Beverly "Bev" Ridder, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Western Home. She was born November 21, 1928, in rural Fayette County (Oelwein) to Bert S. and Geraldine Glynn Kunkle.

She graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1946 and earned a B.S. Degree from Upper Iowa University. She was married to Ralph H. Ridder on August 21, 1949, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in October 2010.

Bev retired in 1993 from the National Bank of Waterloo/Iowa National Bankers Corp after 42 years. She was active in the National Association of Bank Women, Women in Banking and Victory Chapter of the National Secretaries Association. She was a member of Orchard Hill Church.

Bev was an energetic, determined woman. Music was a big part of her life, learning to play the accordion and singing at many weddings and events throughout her younger years. She loved her large family fiercely-each member knew she was in their corner. And in return, they loved her deeply. She leaves a strong legacy of faith and love. We will miss her

Preceded in death by her granddaughter, Grace Thomsen; grandson Ben Bartlett and his children, Charlie and Bailey; great grandson Jacob A. Young; and brother Robert (Marilyn) Kunkle.
