Betty Lou Baldwin, 86 of the Martin Center Western Home Communities formerly of Waterloo, died Monday April 28, 2014 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls of natural causes.

She was born on June 16, 1927 in Allison, Iowa to Arthur and Alice (Jennings) Bell. Betty married Roland Baldwin on March 21, 1948 in Waterloo and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2011.

Betty worked at the Cedar Falls Record in the city news department, and later at Mid Continent Petroleum.

Betty is survived by 3 sons, Dennis (Wendy) Baldwin of Waterloo, Mark Baldwin of Brainerd MN, and Dean (Linda) Baldwin of Marshalltown; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson Brice Baldwin, 1 granddaughter April Baldwin; 1 great-grandson Gabriel Spear; 1 brother John Bell; and 1 sister Dorothy Van Dyke.
