Barbara Joyce Kral, 82, of Waterloo, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, on Sunday February 21, 2016.

Barbara was born on July 28, 1933 in Waterloo, daughter of Ernest and Floy (Evans) Griffith.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1952.

Barbara married William James Kral, Jr. on April 12, 1952 in Nashua. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1992.

She worked at the Brown Bottle, King’s Food Host, and Morg’s where she retired in 1997.

She was member of Waterloo Eagles Club Arie 764 Auxiliary and Whirlaway Square Dancing Club. She also enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends.

Barbara is survived by: three sons: Stanley (Carolyn) Kral of Waterloo, Dan (Bernadette) Kral of Cedar Falls, and Clifford (Lorena) Kral of Waterloo; one daughter, Julie (Steve) Lake of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren: Courtney (Joshua) Carter, David Kral, Benjamin Kral, Nicholas (Stephanie) Kral, Andrew Kral, Tara (Robbie) Mauer, Brad (Shannon) Lake, Caitlin (Jordan) Weak, and Paige Lake; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy (Jan) Griffith of Broken Arrow, OK; and one sister, Vivian Johnson of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and four sisters: Frances Chase, Beatrice Fuller, Beverly Gabbard, and Shirley Cuvelier.
