Allan P. Clinton, 82, of Waterloo, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.

He was born on May 16, 1941, in Phoenix, AZ, son of Paul and Mona Vandiver Clinton. Allan graduated from Baldwin Park High School, Baldwin Park, CA, in 1959, and attended El Monte Community College. He married Vicki Stitt Marmie on July 3, 2004, in Las Vegas, NV.

Allan served honorably in the US Air Force. He was a cable splicer and worked with fiber optics for GTE, AT&T, and Century Link, until retiring in 2014.

He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Waterloo. Allan enjoyed spending his time doing woodworking and being outside with nature. He also enjoyed music and playing his guitar with the band in the Cedar Falls Community Center.

Allan is survived by his wife, Vicki of Waterloo; two sons, Shane (Crista) Clinton, and Cary Clinton; four siblings, Ray (Missy) Clinton, Sherry Taylor, Gary (Karen) Clinton, and Susan (Jim) Danner, all of California; two grandchildren, Rhiannon and Braydn Clinton; two step-daughters, Renee Marmie of Waterloo, and Rochelle (Troy) McGarvey of Cedar Falls; one great-granddaughter, Athena Clinton; four step-grandchildren, Mandi Risse, Melinda Owens, and Connor and Keegan McGarvey, and one great-grandson, Henry Risse.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Monica Gray.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 10, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church, 1760 Williston Ave, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at church.

Military honors by the Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
