Alice O. Myers, 98, of Waterloo, died at Friendship Village Retirement Center on Friday, August 8, 2008 of natural causes.

Alice Opal was born September 27, 1909 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Percy and Mary Grant Hileman.

Alice graduated from Waterloo West High School and then graduated from Gates Business College.

She married Joe H. Myers on August 18, 1933. He died on May 22, 1986.

Together with her husband they owned and operated Myers Electric in Waterloo.

Alice was a member of First Congregational Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son Joe Myers and his wife Sharon of Waterloo, sister-in-law Ruth Hileman of Florida, granddaughter Lori Macias and her husband Manuel of Davenport, and great grandchildren: Alyssa, Michael, and Matthew.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband and four brothers: Robert, Max, Fred and William Hileman.
