Adam Lewis Kramer, age 45, of Waterloo, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at his home.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Raymond. Locke at Tower Park is assisting with arrangements.
He was born November 5, 1980, in Waterloo, the son of Timothy John and Diane Marie (Koch) Kramer. Adam graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School with the Class of 1999 and attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
Adam worked for Hy-Vee Stores at Crossroads and Byron Avenue in Waterloo for several years and formerly worked for CBE Group.
He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, spending time with his friends, especially playing board games together. He was an accomplished crocheting hobbyist and enjoyed watching good movies. Adam had a deep and abiding love for the cats he had as pets over the years. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his uncles and aunts, Greg and Ginny Koch of Ames, IA; Dan and Beth Koch of Waterloo; Angela and Rick Breuer of Waterloo; Jim and Holly Koch of Evansdale; Mike and Becky Kramer of Waukon, IA; Paul and Robyn Kramer, missionaries in Thailand; Mark Kramer of Farmington, MN, and Bill and Justine Judd of Independence, IA; numerous cousins and many lifelong friends from his youth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane, in 2011; his father, Timothy, in 2019; his grandparents, Andy and Velma Koch and John and Rozella Kramer; an aunt, Mary Ann Judd, and cousin, Clay Kramer.

Connie, Thank you for your kind words shared. He really enjoyed crocheting. I have gone thru some of his pieces and found a lot of very small colorful caps. I am going to donate them the the baby unit at MercyOne. I think he would have liked that. Our nephew will be missed by many. ❤️
It was heartbreaking to hear about Adam’s passing. He was a great friend, he always had time for one more cup of coffee and a little longer chat. He will be missed by all those who knew him. Our thoughts and love are with all his friends and family.

Adam was my first neighbor friend! He always had the best board games and movies when we were kids. We reconnected several years ago. So when my daughter wanted to start crocheting, he shared his creativity with her and helped her get started! He was such a kind person! Our family will miss him!

I’m so saddened to hear about Adam’s passing. We had the best time together during all the plays and musicals in high school. He loved hosting the drama club parties. He was always kind to everyone.

Adam was an incredibly caring and loving man. As a new kid to school in a completely foreign environment, cosmo openly welcomed me without hesitation and was the first friendly face I saw. He truly embodied kindness with out strings. Rest easy brother

My heart is filled with sorrow for a friend gone far too soon! I met Adam around 2015-2016 and got to know him while I rented a space at his home for a few years. He was an incredibly kind person and had an amazing sense of humor. He loved his coffee, craft beers, board games, his cats, and throwing a good party. He was a great host, socializer., and conversationalist. I will never forget the memories of his 4th of July Parties, Halloween parties, and many weekend nights packed around his kitchen table with friends exploring whatever crazy new board game Adam had picked to challenge us with that day. Wishing comfort and peace to all friends and family as we take time to reflect and celebrate the wonderful life Adam lived and grieve his passing.

Adam was the first neighbor we met when we moved here year ago I believe him to be about 6.OUr door bell an when opened, there were 2 full and buithful
May baskets for my 5 and 4 year.No one around but soon a giggle beside the garage, this became board game,clown,school, trying new foods
( Adam loved chop sticks ) but my son& Adam failed dog training,
– but we got a Honey of love who would break through a screen to investigate what ever they were doing
So I have lots of stories Wow,we loved that guy!
Even though he sold out to cats , they were pretty cute,especially when they did dis covered Christmas trees!
Tim, Diane and Adam were very kind fun loving neighbors. Heaven has a great tamily,
I pray we all will remember the joy the gave and cherish the pain tthey endured
O and a special thanks to Connie Adam for teaching my ten year granddaughter to crotch’!
