Sue Buls joined Locke Funeral Services on Oct. 31, 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for both her work and her hobbies. She’s an avid gardener and does craft shows throughout the year with her crafting business. She’s also a devoted family person, cherishing time spent with her nine grandchildren, as well as boating, fishing, and relaxing at her beloved Holiday Lake property.
Before joining Locke’s, Sue earned an associate degree in medical assisting and spent many years in the medical field. When asked what she likes about her work at Locke’s, Sue’s enthusiasm shines through. She says, “Everything. I love the work environment. I enjoy working with my coworkers. I can say I have never worked in such a caring and loving environment in all the years I have been working. They have a wonderful bunch of people here at Locke’s.”
One of her favorite memories at Locke’s was when she was working on one of her first service folders by herself. Everyone in the morning meeting had helped get them folded, and she was surprised to receive praise for her work. It was a small gesture, but it left a lasting impact on Sue.
When it comes to working with clients, Sue lives by a simple but powerful philosophy: “Treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself.
