Hawkeye attire is encouraged at the funeral in Wilma's honor.

Wilma J. Buhr, 90, of Cedar Falls and formerly Waterloo, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Cottage of Western Home Communities.

She was born February 14, 1932, in Tripoli, the daughter of Christian and Rose (Mueller) Bathke.

She married Clyde Gentry on September 11, 1953 and they later divorced. She married Lowell Buhr on December 19, 1963 and they later divorced.

Wilma was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Wilma was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls fan. She had an eye for a bargain and loved shopping at rummage sales. When it came to colors, the brighter the better! She was known for wearing bright and flashy colors, but her radiant smile would outshine anything she wore. Her faith and family meant the world to her.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, LaVerne Bathke; and five sisters, Lillian Finders, Ruby Cole, Pearl Hunemuller, and twins Irene and Eileen in infancy.
