Victoria “Vicky” Lee Anderson

Victoria L. "Vicky" Anderson, 79 of Waterloo, died September 20, 2023, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. She was born May 29, 1944, in Independence, daughter of Fredrick and Maude Hansen Westemeier. She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1962.

She was united in marriage to Burdette "Bud" Anderson on June 8, 1963, at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Waterloo, he preceded her in death on July 27, 2019.

Vicky worked as an Acute Care Coordinator for over 30 years at UnityPoint Allen Hospital. She was a past member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. She loved baking cakes, having a house full of family always enjoying the quality time.

She is survived by her four children, Brenda (Dave) Johnson of Evansdale, Bridget Anderson of Waterloo, Burdette "Buddy" (Angie) Anderson II of Waterloo, and Brandy (Brent) Gearhart of Austinville, IA; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Richard Westemeier of Waterloo; and sister, Beverly Hall of Epworth.

Vicky was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Dwayne and Larry Westemeier; and sister, Dorothy Crowell.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2023 at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo.

Family Inurnment will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at a later date.
