Steven LeRoy Kittrell

Steven LeRoy Kittrell, 72 of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 23, 2025, at UPH Allen Hospital. He was born on November 28, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Herbert Kittrell and Isabelle Mae Strohecker. He graduated from West High School in 1970. Following high school, Steve enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge.

He married Cindi Duenas on June 23, 1973, at the St. Joseph's Church, Waterloo. They have been together for over 51 years. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Steve was a truck driver for over forty-five years. He drove for Pepsi Cola, Randolph's Transport, Robertson Williams and Hogan transportation. He was a proud member of the 2.5 million accident-free mile club. He loved his fishing and golfing, but more importantly he loved his family, especially his grandkids

He is survived by his wife, Cindi of Waterloo. Two children, Steph Kittrell of Waterloo and Chris (Amy) Kittrell of Parkersburg. Four grandchildren: Anisa Zuniga, Jackson Kittrell, Addison Kittrell, and Emerson Kittrell. Three sisters, Ann Kearney, Linda Kittrell, and Peggy Kittrell. One niece, Jacki (Ron) Price of Michigan and their children Ronni, Andrea (Noah), A.J. (Georgia) and one great-great niece, Kendall

Steve is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, George Kearney.

Family directed Celebration of life services will be 10:30am Friday March 28 at Grace Baptist Church, 3820 Hammond Ave. Waterloo, IA.

Visitation will precede the services, starting at 9:30am.

Memorials are directed to the family at this time.
