Sharon Kay Shock, 75, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 18, 2022, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center of natural causes. She was born February 28, 1947, in Waterloo, the daughter of Donald F. and Marie Anna Marcussen Manross. She was a 1965 graduate of Waterloo East High School and attended Gates Business College.
She married William F. Shock on October 24, 1970, at First Lutheran Church in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on August 19, 2012.
She worked at Morris Printing and as a clerk for Corks Grocery for 15 years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Survived by: a daughter, Kimerly (Jon) Metcalf of Cedar Falls; a son, William N. Shock of Cedar Falls; two granddaughters, Nicole Metcalf and Tamara Shock both of Cedar Falls; a great-granddaughter, Marcella Shock-Orr and a great-grandson on the way, Heath-Leighton Shock-Orr; two sisters, Kriss Corcoran of Dewar and Susan (Jerry) Larson of Cedar Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by: her parents and her husband.
Services: will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Locke on 4th, 1519 W. 4th St. Waterloo, Iowa 50702 and also the hour before the service at the church.
