Sharon Katherine Klages

Sharon Katherine Klages was born on August 3, 1944, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Katherine Mullen Potter.

She was a 1962 graduate of Emmetsburg Catholic School.

Sharon was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Corwin Klages, on August 8, 1964, in Mason City, and together they created a warm and loving home.

Sharon devoted her professional life to working in various clerical positions over the years. Her meticulous nature and dedication made her a valued member of her workplace, where her contributions will long be remembered.

A passionate reader, Sharon had a deep love for non-fiction literature, always seeking to expand her knowledge and share insights with those around her. She found joy and community at the Fresh Wind Worship at Western Home Communities.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Cork Klages of Cedar Falls; her loving children, Steven (Nicole) Klages of Snohomish, WA, Laurie (Kurt) Eichelberger of Hudson, and Tami Klages of Marion; three grandchildren, AshLeigh (Josh) Studebaker, Evan Klages, and Ryan Klages; two brothers, Donald Potter of Overland Park, KS, Wendel (Karen) Potter of Lakeland, FL; and two sisters-in-laws, Jeri Creswell of Columbia, MO and Jean Potter of Overland Park, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dennis Potter, and a brother-in-law, Gayle Creswell.

Sharon was a cherished daughter, a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring grandmother, and a dear friend to many.
