Ronald Eugene Parker

Ronald Eugene Parker, 70, of Waterloo, died on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital from a short illness.

He was born April 13, 1954, in Waterloo, the son of Lyle E. and Verna (Smith) Parker. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1973. He married Christine Phillips on April 20, 1974; they later divorced.

Ronnie was employed at John Deere from 1972-1998 when he retired. He then worked for the City of Evansdale from 2000-2018.

Survivors include his three sons, Troy (Nicki) Parker of Oelwein, Shaun Parker of Waterloo, and Ryan (Heather) Parker of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Aby and Nick; great-grandson, Sloan; and his brother, Rick (Darlene) Parker of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Peggy Coen, Jane Johnson, and Randy Parker.

Funeral Services: 11:00 am, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo.
