Rebecca Leann Nation

Rebecca Leann "Becky" Nation, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Deery Suites in Cedar Falls. She was born on July 1, 1949, in Arcata, California, the daughter of Robert and Rachel O'Kelley Johnson. Becky did office work and volunteered in Maryland before moving to Cedar Falls in 2020. She married David Nation on October 27, 1979.

Becky was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, volunteering, playing Scrabble and Spider Solitaire, walking 10K volksmarches, and traveling. A fond trip for Becky was to the Galápagos Islands and Machu Picchu. She was also a fan of Les Misérables and enjoyed knitting and crocheting for friends and various charities. Becky was a very creative person, and she enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus alongside Dave as Santa Claus. She also was an extra in the movie Deep Impact and was instrumental in getting Dave interested in acting. Becky was a member of the Cedar Valley Unitarian Universalists.

Becky is survived by her husband, David, of Cedar Falls; children Leann (Scott) Yates and their children Amanda, Austin and Jeremy, of Waukee, IA, Julia (Richard) Bouldin and their children Jacob, Peter and Leta, of Leander, TX, and Justin (Tammy) Nation and their children Alianna and Cadence, of Windsor, PA; and a sister Ruth Burk and brother Richard Johnson, both of California.

A family directed memorial service will be held Saturday March 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cedar Valley Unitarian Universalists, 3912 Cedar Heights, Drive, Cedar Falls and a second memorial service will be held at Western Home Communities at the Diamond Event Center, 5307 Caraway Lane, Cedar Falls also on Saturday at 2:00 PM with private family burial at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls.
