Margaret Joan Lee

Margaret Joan Lee, 92, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

Joan was born on November 7, 1931, in Detroit, MI, to William P. and Grace M. (Pitcher) Kennedy. She married Dale W. Lee on June 27, 1952, in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on May 22, 2013. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1950. Joan was a homemaker who cherished her family time. She was a member of P.E.O. International Chapter MR and Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church. Joan was an avid bridge player, champagne enthusiast, and red wine connoisseur.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Jean Kennedy, and Joyce Aldershof.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Pam (Ron) Pearson of West Hartford, CT, and Rhonda (Dave Roberts) Ersland of Oakland, CA; 3 grandchildren, Jacob (Katie Beckheyer) Ersland, Kara Blair, and Megan (Jason) Smith; and 2 great-grandchildren, Andrew Buck and Nel Smith.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, 2015 Rainbow Dr, Cedar Falls.
