Kent Eugene Peters

Kent E. Peters, 52, of Elk Run Heights, died at Allen Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 5, 2007, of a heart attack.

He was born August 7, 1954, in Waterloo, the son of Albert and Marjorie Williams Peters.

Kent graduated from West High School in 1972. He worked as a carpenter in construction and as a logger in Waterloo and Idaho. Kent loved Idaho and bought 50 acres of land there which he logged. He loved the outdoors and outdoor activities. He was easy going, a unique person, full of life and adventurous.

Kent is survived by fiancée Mary Jo Sires of Elk Run Heights, mother Marjorie Feuerhelm of Shellsburg, three brothers: Gregg (Franny) of Bellingham, Washington, Scott (Linda) of Shellsburg, Mark (Joyce) of Waterloo, sister Lesa (Brett) Caspers Vinton, Ty Rosteck whom he raised as his own,; Kent’s best friend Miles, and many other friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father and stepfather.
