Kenneth “Ken” Dwain Lovell

Kenneth D. “Ken” Lovell, 70, of Evansdale, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was born on July 2, 1955, in Bakersfield, CA, and was the son of Leland and Helen (Tribon) Lovell. He attended Denver High School.

Ken married Sharon Dixon on March 3, 1989, in Waterloo. He worked many different jobs over the years. He started working for a vending company in Waterloo, where he worked for many years; also, as a prep cook for a chef in California, as a garbage man for a while, as a janitor at Tyson’s, and most recently as a security guard for Superior Security in Waterloo.

He was a member of New Day Church in Evansdale where he greatly enjoyed being the sound technician. He enjoyed watching “Storage Wars” and shows about paranormal activity. He loved traveling, including day trips where he spent time with family, and memorable trips to Disney and on a cruise ship with his son, Joshua.

Ken is survived his wife, Sharon Lovell of Evansdale; three sons, Christopher (Tiffany) Andorf of Waterloo, Isaiah (Molly) Lovell of Waterloo, and Joshua Lovell of Waterloo; two daughters, Jennifer Lovell of Titusville, FL, and Sandra (Robert Witcher) Conway of Waterloo; 15 grandchildren, Austin, Sayde, Autumn, Austin, Nathan, Landyn, Brodie, Hailey, Chloe, Brayden, Wyatt, Braylynn, Everleigh, Wade, and one on the way; one great-grandson; and a sister, Sharon Dill of Buffalo, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A family directed memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at New Day Church in Evansdale. Memorials may be directed to the family.
