Kenneth Gayle Einfelt Jr.

Kenneth Gayle Einfelt, Jr., 63, of Evansdale, IA, died at UnityPoint Health—Allen Hospital on Monday, August 26, 2019.

He was born December 19, 1955, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth Gayle Sr. and Mariam Evelyn Burk Einfelt, and graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1974.

Ken married Barbara Henn April 5, 1975, in Waterloo.

He worked in the foundry at John Deere retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service.

Ken was a member of Linden United Methodist Church, Waterloo. He was an avid old car enthusiast, amateur chef (he loved cooking), and enjoyed all kinds of music. He loved his dogs, Diesel, Zeus, Boomer and Lucky.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Korey (Kim) of Evansdale; a daughter, Kassandra (Jason Peterson) Einfelt, his mother, Mariam Einfelt, a brother, Kevin‚ and a sister, Karen (Brian) Petersen‚ all of Waterloo; 6 grandchildren: Charles (Tori Hubrig) Medina, Kenny (Nitka Green) Einfelt IV, Lily Einfelt, Korinn Einfelt, Kendyll Einfelt, and Patrick Einfelt; a great-grandchild, Indigo Medina and one on the way; and 6 nephews: Tracy (Laura) Henn, Nick (Brandy) Kleinmeyer, Nathan Henn, Joshua (Jessica) Petersen, Shane Petersen, and Brad Petersen.

Ken is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth G. Einfelt, Sr., and a son, Kenneth Einfelt III.
