Jerald Jerry” Gallery, 82, of Waterloo, died Thursday, November 27, 2025, at home. He was born December 7, 1942, in Waterloo, to Walter and Nora (Buehener) Gallery. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1961 and attended a Trade School in Kansas City for auto mechanics. Jerry served in the United States Army from 1964 – 1967 including 13 months in Korea.

Jerry married Sharon Ann Casey on June 26, 1965, in Waterloo. He was a mechanic at a Rambler and Chrysler dealership then worked at as a route supervisor at Superior Welding retiring after 27 years.

Jerry was generous with his time and could fix anything, if he didn’t know how he would figure it out. He restored several classic cars over the years and helped with numerous home improvement projects for several people. Tuesday mornings he could be found at breakfast with the “old guy car group.” He was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandson and great grandkids who called him “old grandpa.”

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Gallery, his son Jeff (Shelly) Gallery of Waterloo, his daughter Allison Gallery of Waterloo, grandson Casey (Nikki) Gallery of Wellsburg, and great grandchildren Jack and June Gallery. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Reuben Andersen, sister Marlys Gallery, brothers James and Donald Gallery, stepbrother Jerry Lee Andersen, and half-brother, Walter Gallery Jr.

Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church, visitation will be Monday, December 1, from 4-6:00 PM at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, as well as a half hour prior to Mass at the church. Committal with military honors will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 1:00PM on Monday December 8, 2025. Memorials may be directed to the family.
