Donald Gary Heeren

Donald G. Heeren, 84, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at Friendship Village on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Don was born on November 29, 1939, in Allison, IA, to Elit R. and Flora G. (Henrichs) Heeren. Prior to retirement in 2005, he spent 25 years working as Farmer's Cooperative Company in Dike, IA. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of Allison City Council. Don enjoyed traveling with his life partner, Carol, boating, gardening, and bowling.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerald Heeren.

Don is survived by his loving partner, Carol Mitchell of Waterloo; sister, Eileen Nelson of Adel, IA; and brother, Roger Heeren of Green Valley, AZ.

Inurnment will take place at Allison Cemetery.
