David Leo Kinkade

David L. Kinkade, 70, of Waterloo, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 6, 1955, in Iowa.

He is survived by his three sons, Aaron Kinkade, Travis Hassen, and Anthony Kinkade; and his five daughters, Rebecca Kinkade, Brianna Phelps, Katrina Kinkade, Rachael Murphy, and Heather Weuve. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Barbara Erickson, Martha Anderson, and Nancy Slutter, and one brother, Gary Kinkade.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Douglas E. Kinkade and Mark L. Kinkade, and his parents, Melvin C. and Evelyn I. Zhorne.

No services will be held per his wishes. Locke Funeral Services assisted the family with cremation.

David valued his privacy and the quiet moments in life, and those who knew him well will remember his love, warmth, humor, and steadfast presence.
