She was born December 22, 1954, in Storm Lake, Iowa, daughter of Wayne L and Marlene A Guhl Paige

Christie graduated from Dike High School in 1973. She then graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny, IA with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible Education.

She married Garry D. Moore on February 14, 1976, at the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, Waterloo.

Over the years, Christie was a domestic engineer until children were grown, then she joined with her husband as a Chaplain at Western Home Communities. She was actively involved with the family ministry sharing her talents with music, playing piano, bible studies, and taught Sunday School.
