Betty Ann Phillis

Betty Ann Phillis, 83, of Elk Run Heights, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at her home. She was born December 28, 1937, in Rapid City, South Dakota the daughter of William and Clarcie Giles Muller.

She married Donald Phillis on May 1, 1954, in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Betty worked as a cashier at The Little Store in Elk Run Heights for many years.

Survived by: her husband, Donald of Elk Run Heights; one son, Steven (Mary) Phillis of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Donna Schmitt of Evansdale, Betty Jean (Leonard) Surly of Waterloo, Clarcie (Dave) Bovis of Waterloo, Kathleen (Brent) Cornelius of New Hartford; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Pearl Taylor of Sturgis, South Dakota.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a son-in-law, Tom Schmitt; three brothers, Donald, William and Robert Muller; and three sisters, Gail Cox, Sally Brown, and Linda Muller.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
