Barbara Jane Paradine

Barbara J. Paradine, 85, of McGregor, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Great River Care Center, in McGregor.

Barbara was born on May 10, 1939, in Jay County, IN, daughter of LeRoy and Mary E. (King) Trobridge. She graduated from high school in Portland, IN. Barbara married Leland G. Paradine on March 28, 1959, in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on March 31, 2018. She was a homemaker for her family, a den mother for the scouts, and a Sunday school teacher at her church.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Ronald (Linda) Paradine of McGregor, and James Paradine of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland; six brothers, Billie, Henry, Charles, H. Samuel, G. Walt and James Trobridge; sisters, Dorris Bailey, mary Keen, and Bessie Sackett; and her parents.

Visitation: Family will recieve friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo.
