Roma “Jean” Junge, age 92, of Reinbeck died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Creekside Cottages in Grundy Center.

She was born July 10, 1927 in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Gilson and Mary (Beatty) McNamee. Jean was a graduate of Traer High School with the Class of 1945. She was united in marriage with Claus J. Junge on June 3, 1947 in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1995.

Jean was a homemaker and worked as a home health care provider. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and cared for a lot of kids over the years.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin (Susan) Junge of Montezuma, IA and Robert (Jan) Junge of Waterloo; 4 grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Ryan and Sarah; one great grandchild, Ashton; and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Junge; two brothers, William and Morris McNamee.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Reinbeck Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, 3146 Kimball Avenue in Waterloo.
